“Under the Abyss” parodies The Little Mermaid’s “Under the Sea” sequence. The backdrop is a whale fall on the sea floor, with a spider crab leading the deep sea creatures (big fin squid, goblin shark, hag fish, and brittle stars) as the little merman is distracted by his anglerfish friend who illuminates the scene.
